Got weiss ich will kein Engle sein..

January 28th, 2003

AAARGH! This is the second time that I have to write this entry. I was nearly finished doing it the other day, when the computer decided to freeze on me (stupid Windows….. must allways use linux), therby loosing me the better part of fifteen minutes of typing. You can understand my hesitation at re-doing it all again.

But like I said before, this entry will deal with two very cool things that happened on the weekend…. first of all, Val being a complete legend, and second of all, a VERY exciting Kontrol party.

January 23rd, 2003

Well, seems that Mr John Howard has in all his infinate wisdom sent a bunch of lemmings to the middle east. No doubt he feels wonderfull now that he is playing with the bigger boys in the playground. Seems to me like he is just falling into the wrong crowd.

Cryptic diary entry of the month. A trip to Thailand will allways be profitable. Narf

A mayor wave of sloth is overtaking me these days. Bad bad karma indeed. I hope it doesn’t last. Perhaps clubbing this weekend is the only cure. Or maybe it will be the nail in the coffin.

Narf.

Been around now, been around the block

Well, a couple of things.

Carmel == Asolute Brilliance

I don’t think that anyone can refute this fact.

On other news, I’ve decided that I will become rich and famous with a spanky new psychological discovery. I herby patent “lava lamp therapy”, a new and exciting way of treating every possible disorder imaginable. Person sits in front of lava lamp and contemplates the lava. Repeat till all problems burst and subside like the giant balls of magma before you.

Fame, glory and excitment… here we come.

Las cosas que me hiciste mami me gusto

Had a bizarre and wonderfull day. It started with Lorien and I going to to Bronte on our bikes. That boy is rather fit. He managed the hills very well, considering he has a pretty ordinary bike. I’m very impressed. Had a wonderfull time.. I like lorien.

Well, Jimmy will probalby laugh if he reads this, but I like latinos again. Well, in a way of speaking. I still find a lot of the latinos in sydney quite insufferable, but I like the atmosphere of a proper latin party. This comes from my brief visit to the Bacardi festival at Darling Harbour. It was a mad atmosphere. Apart from the idiots who are there to grandstand, it was a really good vibe, with most people there to have fun. It is hard to point out the difference between the latino feel of a party and an anglo version, but a point to start on might be the way in which different people come together in the latino fiesta.

I can’t live, when living is without you.

January 15th, 2003

Life rolls on, does it not. I spent some time with the House of Sin people. I had dinner with Jimmy at my local, the Newignton Hotel. It was VERY aussie. In fact, I think that is the closest that I’ve come to pure, unadultarated aussie atmosphere in the Inner Sydney area.

How do you describe this atmosphere? It is very hard to pin point exactly what it was about this pub that gave me the “vibe” of australiana. Maybe it was the courtyard bistro, with the “cook your own stake” deal. Or maybe it was the fashion sense, something that screamed “i feel comfortable wearing bong smoking clothes in public” . Maybe it was the fact that everyone around us was white. Maybe it was the way everyone looked “cool”, in that “I’m english and eccentric way”.

Know when to walk away, know when to run

January 14th, 2003

I spent the weekend being completely uncontactable. I don’t know why this surprises me so, since it isn’t like I’m readily available for people normally. Still, the fact that this time I COULDN’T contact anyone kinda made it all ok.

Well, a very disapointing day, though a lot of good came out of the latter part. I went and spoke to Dr Craddock about the placement. He was nice enough about it, but did state the the credit average was needed. My average is 63.5. For those that are not in the know, that means that i’m only 1.5 marks away from my goal. Might talk to him again, and beg some more. At least now I’m a face, not just a number. There may yet be hope in this are.

You and I, I wouldn’t change a thing

January 7th, 2003

Another warm and sunny day in Sydney. It started strangely for me, with an outing to the happiest place on earth, Centerlink. It turns out that it didn’t go that badly. The queue wasn’t as bad as usual, and apart from the raving drunkyard that was shouting his griveneces rather loudly, it all went pretty smoothly.

January 6th, 2003

Well, my first weekday in Sydney, and already I am tired of having to DO things. Not only that, but there are mountains of papers in my house, all which need some attention, not to mention all these decisions that I must undertake. But lets begin from the start.

January 4th, 2003

Well, finally back in Australia. For some strange reason, I am very happy to be back. Not because I didn’t enjoy my visit, quite the contrary infact. But there is something about one’s own bed, and ones own surroundings that makes the difference.

Merry New Year!!!

January 1st, 2003

Yeah!!! It just turned midnight two hours ago. I’m sure that by Australian standards, New Years is old news by now, but it is still fresh on our minds here. Not that there was a big celebration in the Ortiz houshold… just the four of us and some great dinner.
