I looked at The Bureau of Meterology website to try and find out the forecast for today. As usual, I found it terribly hard to navigate my way to a meaningful forecast, but that is to be expected; I’m not the brightest torch light burning.

Anyways, so this is the forecast for Sydney for today:

Cloudy with some rain developing and the chance of an afternoon
thunderstorm.

What the fuck does ‘rain developing’ mean ?!?!?!??! If it said, “light showers”, I might understand. But rain developing? Does that mean that the clouds are in the process of making rain? Does it mean that the rain will get harder and harder till it turns into a cosmical water extravaganza? I just fail to comprehend.

Yesterday I was poised to write another of my wonderfully long and thoughtless passages about the many wonders of seeing minions of first year students parading around univeristy. Yet the events of yesterday afternoon led me to a new revalation, and some troubling insights.

Before I start on today’s whinge, here is an open invitation to anyone out there. I’m going to be having a “first day back at uni perve fest” on Monday. I might even get some deck chairs, some beers, and some munchies, and I’m going to spend all day, from 9 o’clock till late just looking at the first years running around. If you have lectures, skip them. If you work, take a sickie. I garantee that you will not find a better group of people to perv on. And if you can’t get a date on the first week of school (hereafter called “fuck a fresher week”), then you are in dire straits.
